‘The Lord of the Drama’ is a comedy series set in the entertainment business and revolves around the drama-production world featuring a production company CEO, a rookie writer, and a top star.

Anthony Kim (Kim Myung Min) is a greedy but brilliant CEO of a production company who would do everything and anything for money. He is extremely talented in running a business.

Lee Go Eun (Jung Ryu Won) is a warm-hearted, honest and aspiring rookie writer.

The drama is about a new orchestra which is exclusively established to fulfil the city mayor's political benefit. The orchestra is made up of amateur players who initially joined the orchestra because of their love for music and the outstanding and demanding conductor.
At first, each of these people just lives his life as simply as a fish swimming along with the river current. They don't waste their energy to dream, or to trouble themselves with another unreal object for them, passion. Well, at least that was what they thought.
The first male lead character, Kang Gun Woo, A.K.A Maestro Kang, or who everyone calls Kang Mae, thinks in a different way. He believes that companionship, sympathy and care are unnecessary in life. A man of total control and hard even on himself, this brilliant conductor demands only the best from his musicians. With his sharp tongue, he pushes his musicians to their limits. Unaware, this time he gets tangled with what he is afraid of most, human emotion. He witnesses a middle aged housewife fight hard against her personal obstacles so that she can play music again. He also cannot blindly walk away from the oboe player who fights against dementia.
He clashes with two of the orchestra members, his student, a young genius trumpeter who shares the same name as him and a passionate violinist. They are two of the most important people in his life, making him realize that he too, needs to have others in his life.

A 45 years old charismatic world class orchestra conductor, very demanding, hot-headed, and extremely difficult man.
